Pictured are Gavin Kidd and
Pecan Creek's Captain Kidd,
both three years old at the
time, winning the blue ribbon
at their very first show.
Thanks to Jane Cozart,
Pecan Creek Pony Farm, for
the use of "Kiddo".

What's Happening around Here
Gavin moved up to Beggs' Easter Lily for 2006.  They did well in
leadline and pet pony obstacle classes at the Katy Spring show, The
West Texas Fair, and Tulsa American National.  He and Easter Lily
brought home several blue ribbons and a trophy.  Of course with me
being the "leader" (normally the photographer), everyone took video
- no one thought to get pictures.  Thanks to whoever took the one
lone picture we were able to get from 2006 pet pony obstacle class
below.  Thanks to Janet Crouch for claiming the picture and sending
it to me!
2006
Yearling girl, Pleasant Hill Blue Dahlia, "brought home the blue" and a
reserve championship from the Spring Gulf Coast Welsh Pony.  This was
her very first time "off the farm" and also her first time to be shown.   Way
to go Dallie!
2007
Pleasant Hill Blue Dahlia (Dallie) did very well at the Tulsa Area Pony
Show in Spring.  She finished second and third in a nice group of 2 year old
fillies.  Best of all, she behaved like a lady!
Pleasant Hill Quanna made her "debut" at the
Red River Welsh show in July at the tender age
of two months.  Wow - she brought home two
blue ribbons, a Grand Championship and
Reserve Championship!
Dallie brought home a blue & red ribbon and a
Reserve Championship!  Way to go girls!
Quanna was named 2007 Champion Section B Filly for the South Central
Region  of WPSCA

Dahlia was named 2007 Reserve Champion Section B Filly for the South
Central Region of WPCSA
Tulsa Fall Show 2007.  Gavin Kidd and Davric Rebel made
quite a pair.  Gavin and he earned a blue in leadline and
did very well in the Pet Pony Obstacle as well.   We are
indebted to the Straub Family for letting Davric Rebel (aka
affectionately  to us as Davy) come to live with us.  All of
the children just love Davy and he was a great ambassador
for the Welsh breed at the Tulsa Fall Show.  He and Gavin
had many small visitors.   He  was very interested in all the
children, allowing them to pet him and quite a few to have
their picture taken with him.  He is just a great guy - takes
it all in stride!  Of course I think his rider is a pretty
special guy too!
Go ahead, make my day!
2010
(a couple of year of news got away with retirement and a move)
Congratulations to Lynn Wray of Wray Acres in Seagrave Ontario.
Pleasant Hill Quanna Ferlak foaled an adorable filly, sired by
Lynn's lovely stallion, Wind Dancer Elusive. What a cutie!  (no
Pleasant Hill foals this year, so have to enjoy everyone else's)
Pleasant Hill Miss Priss attended the Spring
Gulf Coast Welsh Pony and Cob show and
brought home two blue ribbons.

2011
Pleasant Hill Leading Lady came to us as a
yearling this year.  I am having fun working
with her - she is a quick learner!
Prissy and Lady both attended the Central National Show in Tulsa.
They both were in the ribbons.  Lady took it all in stride and was a
trooper for her first time to "go to town".
Pleasant Hill Leading Lady and Pleasant Hill Right on Target (Bullseye) attended the Central National
show in Tulsa.

Bullseye was very good and behaved exceptionally well for his first time off the ranch.  He placed third
under both Judges in a very nice class of colts!

Lady was named Champion Section B Filly by both Judges!
Pleasant Hill Leading Lady and Pleasant Hill Right on Target (Bullseye) the big RRWPA silver show at
Prospering Farms on 10/23/11

Bullseye placed second under both Judges!

Lady was chosen as Supreme Champion by Judge Suzan Stevens!
Lady was named 2011 Champion Section B Filly for the South Central Region
of WPSCA
